An excellent accompaniment to the singer-songwriter or the fingerstyle player.
The Takamine G NEX Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a solid spruce top with a pleasing, rounded profile that’s narrow at the waist, yet broad behind the bridge. This creates a soundboard that offers balanced frequency response with deep bass, clear treble, and a sweet, round midrange that projects.
The G NEX body depth ensures great volume. It’s cutaway provides plenty of range and comfort when accessing the upper-register frets. The guitar’s solid spruce top offers balanced tone, while the solid sapele back and sapele sides bring out plenty of clear projection. The dovetail neck joint, rosewood bridge and fretboard, and mahogany neck offer plenty of sustain. An asymmetrical neck and 1-5/8″ nut width provide comfort for intricate fretboard movements.
At the heart of the Takamine NEX guitar is an impressive electronics system with intuitive frequency controls. The Takamine TP4T preamplifier features a gain knob; tuner; active shelving system EQ with bass, middle, and treble frequency slider controls; and a low battery light. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard 1/4″ mono instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable switches the preamplifier off. The TP4T Preamplifier is powered by a single 9-volt battery.
The G NEX acoustic-electric’s gold hardware, gold tuners, and gloss finish adds a shining touch to this already beautiful Takamine guitar.

This guitar has been refurbished by MIRC. It is lightly stamped “used” on the back of the headstock, ink stamped “second AAA” near the label, and a new serial number applied to prevent the guitar from being sold as new factory stock. That being said, this guitar is about as close to new as ‘used’ can get! Everything works, plays, and sounds as it should. There have been no structural repairs. There are some very light scratches near the bridge that can be seen in the last pic. Other than that, this guitar is in fantastic shape and plays beautifully! You WON’T be disappointed!
